Herrings House: designer nature retreat with pool

Positive: Beautifully styled, lovely setting, loved the roaring fire and ample wood. Very comfortable for our family, kids loved the attic bedroom and the lovely garden. Would not hesitate to stay here again! Negative: Didn't love the linen sheets and the pillows but these are personal preferences of course! Also the frying pans were quite scratched so didn't want to use those. Also had booked knowing they had chickens and eggs to collect but once I booked I got a note saying the chickens were not there. Door handles downstairs either don't latch and/or very noisy to operate so whenever someone gets up to go to the toilet in the night, the noise woke us up.

Herrings House was absolute perfection for our girls weekend away. Positive: Location and styling of the house was impeccable. So much thought into every aspect! Negative: The ducks pooing in the pool 🤣

Beautiful homestead feel with added luxury. Such a treat! Positive: Such a beautiful home, the furnishings and styling truly made it feel like a home away from home. The kitchen and herb garden were amazing features. Luxurious but down to earth.
